Hello friends. 🙂 Don’t forget to join our link up party! It starts Friday mornings at 9 AM MST. We are so excited that we finished our bathroom mini-remodel. I say mini because we didn’t change countertops, tub, shower or floor. Most of what we did was cosmetic but we are so happy we did it and love it! It was fine before but now it is so cute! Our plan. . .paint walls, paint cabinets, make a plank accent wall, frame the construction grade mirror, update light fixtures, add some different decorative items. I have photos to share as well as a cost breakdown.
We painted the cabinets and drawers with Annie Sloan Old White and finished with Annie Sloan Clear Wax.
We used our existing hardware.
We painted a couple of accent walls including the water closet in Sherwin Williams Svelte Sage. It is my favorite paint color and I have used it on other areas of the house.
One of best elements is the Plank Wall that we built above the backsplash of the jetted tub. We alternated stained boards and painted boards.
My favorite part of the #makeover was the mirror. It is a very large construction grade mirror that is good quality but zero personality. We bought moulding and corner accent blocks. I painted it all in Old White. We measured carefully and affixed with mirror glue. It really has a WOW factor now and looks like a custom mirror.
We had this cabinet in another room. I just repainted the drawer with a pop of red. I keep my perfume inside.
I found these cute burlap baskets at TJ Maxx. They are perfect for holding towels. We attached little pieces of chalkboard to make a label.
The smaller burlap basket holds hand towels and washcloths.
This is a little shelf that we already had in the bathroom. It used to hold my perfume but now it is just decorative.
The most expensive part of the entire project was the new light fixtures. We walked into a local lighting store, saw these and bought them on the spot. We also bought the Vintage Edison Style bulbs. They are perfect. Love!
That’s it . . . our bathroom makeover. We are so happy with how it all turned out. Here is the price breakdown:
I hope you enjoyed this little tour! Have a great evening.
